Hopeful Stars Hopeful Stars is an organization that helps consumers donate to their favorite charities. The inspiration behind Hopeful Stars is to provide women with something they want while giving to those in need. They help charities generate additional revenue on a year-round basis - offering home parties, online parties, fundraising events and online shopping. For each sale, a portion of the proceeds is donated directly to the charity of your choice.

WALK for Women Breast Cancer Fund Releases 2007 CD

WALK 97.5 Radio and the WALK for Women Breast Cancer Fund proudly announce the release of their 2007 Yesterday & Today fundraising CD, “Standing Abreast for a Cure”. Since it’s inception in 2000, sales from the CD collection have raised over $350,000 which has been donated to the many breast cancer organizations across Long Island. Funds have been used to support programs including access to care and survivor support services as well as educational outreaches which focus on disease causation, prevention and the environment.

This year’s WALK CD, the eighth edition of the series will release in mid-September and sell through the end of the year. The CD will be sold online at www.walkradio.com. As always, the CD will sell for $9.75 plus tax and the proceeds will benefit the WALK For Women Breast Cancer Fund.

Just like the music on WALK 97.5 radio, the songs on this year’s CD represent the best of “yesterday and today”. This year’s CD includes such artists as the Goo Goo Dolls, Billy Joel, Natalie Cole, Billy Idol and Chaka Khan.
