The Sustainability Institute at Molloy College
invites you to attend the kick off presentation of Sustainable Film Series, Wednesday August 11, 2010.
|
The first film in our series is FRESH. The film celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are reinventing our food system. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and the planet. FRESH addresses an ethos that has been sweeping the nation and is a call to action America has been waiting for.
The Sustainable Film Series is a free documentary series presented by the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College that will screen films with a focus on environmental protection and sustainability, and feature a different organizational partner for each presentation. This month’s partnering organization is Vision Long Island.
Join us for an evening of film, fun and festivities. In addition to the film, the event will feature:
- Free local food, drink and popcorn at show time.
- An opportunity to network with Long Island’s social change community before and after the film.
- Shout outs. Starting around 8:45pm, we'll encourage people to promote themselves, their groups and/or causes and events for 30 seconds. If you represent a Long Island community organization, come prepared with your spiel and literature.
- Literature tables
